Illustration Study - Home Aquarium

Home Aquarium is a personal illustration project that explores the concept of home spaces through found media. By reimagining these spaces in my own artistic style, I aimed to capture the essence of simplicity while maintaining a playful, carefree aesthetic. This project allowed me to experiment with minimalistic design elements, demonstrating how illustrations can be both succinct and expressive without losing their charm.

Project Objectives

  • Reinterpret Home Spaces: Illustrate various home interiors inspired by found media, incorporating my personal design style to create a fresh perspective.

  • Experiment with Simplistic Illustration: Focus on developing a minimalist yet expressive illustration technique, highlighting key features of each space without overwhelming details.

  • Develop Cohesive Aesthetic: Ensure consistency across the series by maintaining a carefree but succinct aesthetic, allowing each illustration to stand alone while contributing to the larger project.

  • Refine Creative Process: Use the project as an opportunity to explore and refine my personal creative process, finding a balance between simplicity and expressive detail.

  • Incorporate Found Media: Source inspiration from found images and media to inform the composition and structure of each illustrated space.
